Application:

Industrial oxalic acid is an industrial grade oxalic acid, mainly used in pharmaceuticals, rare earth elements, smelting, fiber bleaching and other industries

1. Oxalic acid is a metabolite of organisms, widely distributed in plants, animals and fungi, and plays different functions in different organisms.

1. Oxalic acid can be used as a reducing agent in medicine, printing and dyeing, plastics and other industries. In addition, oxalic acid can also be used as a precipitant to separate and purify rare earth elements.

2. The main production methods of industrial oxalic acid include sodium formate method, oxidation method, oxo synthesis method, ethylene glycol oxidation method, propylene oxidation method, and carbon monoxide coupling method.

3. Industrially, carbon monoxide is absorbed by caustic soda to produce sodium formate. The latter is dehydrogenated at 380°C to obtain sodium oxalate, which is then treated with lime and sulfuric acid to produce oxalic acid.
